Paul Tougas
Black & Grey Fundamentals

The seminar will cover the essential foundations for creating stronger, clearer, and better-structured tattoos. Paul will break down composition, contrast, separation, focus, black and grey values, and different ways to create dept and visual hierarchy within a tattoo.
He will demonstrate his technique, including now he builds smooth, saturated gradients, control transitions, and how he keeps tattoos readable from up close and at a distance.He’ll also talk through his equipment and setup, and how those choices can affect the final result.
Participants will gain a better understanding of why an image works before they even start tattooing. Each attendee will receive a BNG gift bag with supplies and needles Paul uses.

Hans Deslauriers
Design with Intent

Hans will explore the anatomy of a good design, and how to build designs that make sense. He’ll deconstruct one or two designs and talk through the ideas, stories, and decisions behind them. He’ll also discuss applying these principles to other mediums, with time for questions and discussion.

Marieve Luckless
Largescale Tattooing - From Concept to Application

Marieve will take you through the process of a large-scale tattoo, from the initial concept through to application. She’ll cover measurements and placement, apps and digital workflow, and how to prepare and apply a large stencil in one go. She’ll also go through her gear, and cover preparing for multiple days of tattooing and when to use numbing sprays.
Attendees will receive a small gift bag with stickers and needle samples, along with a list of the apps and gear Marieve uses and links to purchase them.

Rebecca O'Quinn
Composition, Contrast, and Colour Techniques for Artists and Tattooers

Rebecca’s seminar will focus on the fundamentals of composition, contrast, and colour and how they work together within a design. She’ll talk about arranging elements to create drawings, paintings, and tattoos that are readable and interesting. The session will also cover creating balance and readability with textures, hues, and colours, as well as other practical tips that can be applied to future projects.
